In today's warm-up, we talked about video games and violence. I was happy to see most of them are aware of the impact and addictiveness of some of the current offerings available. It did not surprise me that online sports games are one of their choices. We reviewed and alternative, no guns but it seems not to be a popular one with my lower middle school students. My students are more on FIFA and NBA games and they miss going back to the courts, training, and tournaments at school.
Today we switched to Janboard for the french lesson, it is not as flashy as our work on Padlet, but sometimes we prefer to work on a blackboard instead of a wall.
We selected three of the book trailers and will evaluate how well they do their job on selling the idea to read the book. Tomorrow we will watch the last one and reflect on how each fulfills its purpose. If time allows, we might create a book trailer of our own.
We continued with the Pop Art project, we are working with Google Slides to practice drawing, picture editing, and moving the different layers to the back and front and found this Quiz from Tate you might like.
